Awful, Awful, Awful....Just the worst. Stay away!. I had three major problems, and I must keep it brief: I had two separate incidences where a car was parked in guest parking and broken into. I attributed it to the fact that the area was dimly lit. I addressed the concern to management and suggested adding a flood light on the first incident, and nothing was done. On the second incident I again went to "king" Northcutt and he insinuated that it MUST be because I have enemies. First off, I don't. Second off, two separate cars were involved in each incident (my wife's car and my car).

Second problem: I was towed twice from my apartment because my parking pass was stolen, and King Northcutt refused to back me. I was forced to pay the $100 tow fee twice.

Final incident: I graduated from Auburn University and received my commission into the United States Navy on December 12, 2011. I didn't receive my orders until December 5, 2011 and on that day I went to Northcutt Realty to terminate my lease under the Servicemember's Civil Relief Act, wherein it states that upon receipt of orders, the realty company can only hold you accountable for rent 30 days from the time. Since I didn't receive my orders until the 5th, they told me I was accountable for January's rent too. I told the secretary that I would be paying two rents (one in Norfolk, VA and the one at Northcutt) if they didn't waive the fee. I argued that there was no way to get my orders in any earlier, and that I notified them as soon as I got them. She said I would have to talk to King Northcutt to see if he would waive the fee. I did, and he said, "well I'm already relieving you of your obligation from the rest of your lease." Correction: YOU AREN'T DOING ANYTHING. YOU ARE REQUIRED BY LAW TO DO THAT. I think this speaks to the nature of the management there. Any respectable person would've waived January's fee, and just acknowledged the sacrifices military members make. For instance: my wife just left on deployment, I'll leave in a few months, so I won't see her again for a year. Cost of incident: Any last respect I had for these yahoos. I'll step down of my soap box now. The apartment itself was nice and comfortable, but these major incidents absolutely did it for me. The major problem about this company is that they're everywhere, and from what it seems each realty company is as bad as the next. If I could, I would rate them at 0 stars
