Great product, great people.
Purchased my first guitar from Gary in Jan 2010. I still go in about every week to see the new stuff and have always been welcomed. Will be buying more because I know I can trust them.
I have never been told I couldnt touch, much less play, anything they have hanging, including the expensive Taylor's.
I have compaired several products to GC and found them to be almost identical in price.
Go see Gary or Larry and see for yourself.
Great Place, Great People
This place is a riot. "PLEASE DON'T PLAY GUITARS".
This place cracked me up today. I was passing through town and stopped in at this place. I went to look at the drums and a salesperson actually bodily placed himself between me and the drums like a bouncer and said "CAN I HELP YOU?"
Mind if folks look at the drums, fellas?
Sorry, Pal... we got no used gear, and you no touchee the drums. No touchee the guitars, either. No fun.
This place is overpriced and while I did see a lot of guitars I might have been interested in owning, well, if I can't test drive the car, I don't want to buy it. If I'm going to blind purchase a guitar without plugging it in and hearing it, I might as well just buy off the internet. Which is what your former customers are probably doing right now.
I buy guitars, basses, drums, microphones, compressors, cables, recording equipment and headphones. My tax forms say that last year I spent over $7k on musical equipment. I've never been told not to pick up a guitar in a music store.
Good luck hanging in there against Guitar Center, dudes. You're gonna lose and lose big.
Plus, that broken guitar you guys nailed to the wall to justify your "Hands off!" policy? You and I both know that was a piece of crap before it ever hit the floor. Smashing it kept some kid from struggling to make barre chords on it for three weeks before he gave up and became an accounting major at whatever community college you guys have in Columbus. I see the destruction of that guitar as a victory for music.
See ya in the funny papers.
Relaxed approach to selling good guitars.. All Things Musical has a great variety of good guitars, electric and acoustic. Some are for advanced musicians and some are for the average guitar player, and a few are entry-level. Stan and Gary always welcome me and Stan tells good stories while Gary shows me the newest guitars. Gary's knowledgeable and a good picker so he knows what guitar players want. He and his colleagues put together a good deal for me on a guitar set-up and a case. This store is a nice palce to do business.
Good. I have went in looking at guitars. They had a large selection. I asked if I could play some. They said sure. The guy showed me the selection he had in my price, and some that were higher in price. He said to feel free and try any that I wanted to. Ive been in several times since, simply ask if I can go and try some guitars, and they let me go right in and try all that I wish for as long as I wish. Havent purchased yet. Still trying to narrow them down.
